A webinar on ‘Environmental Rights: National and International Perspectives’ jointly organized by the Environmental Assistance, Research and Training Hub (EARTH) and the Legal Aid Centre of the Faculty of Law, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was held on the 2nd March 2021, from 0900 hrs to 1030 hrs. The members of the distinguished panel of speakers were Dr. Kokila Konasinghe, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, Professor Camena Gunaratna, Head, Department of Legal Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Open University of Sri Lanka, Mr. Hemantha Vithanage, Executive Director, Centre for Environmental Justice and Dr. Jagath Gunawardana, Attorney at Law, Advisor, Central Environmental Authority. The participants to the of the webinar included final year KDU LLB undergraduates, law students of other institutions, legal professionals and academics and others interested. The moderator of the webinar was Ms. Asanka Edirisinghe, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, KDU and Coordinator of KDU EARTH.
