The Faculty of Law, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) had the privilege of hosting a guest lecture delivered by Mr. Prasantha Lal de Alwis PC, the Principal of Sri Lanka Law College, on 13. 02. 2025.
The lecture was organized jointly as a collaborative effort between the KDU Legal Aid Center and the Career Guidance Unit of the faculty, aiming to provide students with valuable insights into the legal profession. During the lecture, Mr. De Alwis stated that the, Faculty of Law, KDU is now ranked in the number one Law School in Sri Lanka in terms of the quality of education and the standards of its graduates in the profession.
Following the lecture, an enthralling Q&A session was held, where Mr. De Alwis actively interacted with the students, addressing their queries and sharing his experiences on legal practice and career development.
This event marked another milestone in the Faculty’s commitment to fostering academic excellence by facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions with distinguished professionals in the field.
