Another Programme Review was conducted by a Panel appointed by Standing Committee on Legal Studies of UGC and chaired by Dr Wickrema Weerasuriya. Thereupon, the UGC strongly recommended that Law students passing out from the KDU, apart from being exempted from any Admission requirements as currently done, be also exempted from the Preliminary and Intermediate Examinations of the Sri Lanka Law College and be placed on par with the law graduates of Peradeniya and Colombo Campuses.
