A Guest Lecture organised by the Faculty of Law, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) was held on 16th August 2023 with the participation of the undergraduates of the Faculty of Law, with the objective of enhancing values, norms, ethics and attitudes of the undergraduates.
The Guest Speaker was Senior Professor Susirith Mendis, Professor of Physiology Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. Senior Professor Mendis was a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna and a former Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna.
His lecture focused on importance of ethics and its application within the Context of a Defence University to enhance righteous qualities. At the end of his insightful lecture Professor Mendis emphasized the value of good virtue to mould the progress of scholars to develop autonomy and fidelity to uphold the justice.
