Guest Lecture on ‘Constitutionalism and Constitutional Exceptionalism’

A gust lecture titled “Constitutionalism and Constitutional Exceptionalism” by Nigel Hatch PC, Eminent Visiting Fellow of the Faculty of Law was conducted on 20.02.2024 for the second year LLB undergraduates.

Nigel Hatch PC is currently practising as a Counsel specializing in areas of Business Law, Corporate Law, Labour and Employment Law, and Personal Injury Law. He is a widely published author in the areas of Labour Law and Constitutional Law and had functioned as an advisor and a board member in many institutions.

During the lecture, Mr. Hatch discussed the Principles of Constitutional Law, the concepts of Constitutionalism and Constitutional Exceptionalism with practical examples from the domestic and international arena. The lecture was followed an interactive Q&A session with the students and the academic staff of the Faculty of Law. 

The event was organized by the Department of Public Law of the Faculty of Law to enhance the knowledge of the students studying Constitutional Law.
